Cam finder questions and answers
Fourteen questions about cam finders in general and about this comparison in particular, each answered from something we can point at. Where the honest answer is that we do not know, it says so. Every answer that carries a number was checked on 2 September 2026, the same date as the comparison table.
Is CamsFinders.com the same thing as CamsFinder.com?
Yes. This domain is run by the CamsFinder team, and it exists so that the plural spelling lands somewhere of ours rather than somewhere else. The full site, with the model index, the reviews and the comparisons, is at camsfinder.com.
Does a cam finder host the video?
No. A cam finder indexes which performers are broadcasting on the cam platforms and links you through. The stream itself is served by the platform, and the performer relationship, the payments and the account all sit there too.
How many cam sites does CamsFinder cover?
Fourteen platforms are configured in the CamsFinder provider list as of 2 September 2026 and get model pages at /model/platform/name: BongaCams, Cam4, CamSoda, Chaturbate, ImLive, Jerkmate, LiveJasmin, MyFreeCams, RoyalCams, Streamate, Stripchat, XCams, XLoveCam and XXXCams. Eleven of the fourteen are switched on in the live configuration, and the written reviews cover the six largest.
Does it cost anything to use a cam finder?
Searching and browsing on CamsFinder are free. Anything you spend is spent on the cam platform itself, under that platform own terms and pricing. CamsFinder is funded by affiliate links to those platforms.
How do I report content or a copyright problem?
CamsFinder publishes a DMCA page and a takedown form at camsfinder.com/dmca/submit, along with a statement of compliance with 18 U.S.C. 2257 record keeping requirements. Both are linked in the footer of this page.
Are you ranking the other finder sites against yourselves?
No. The table records what each site does, not a score. Two of the four search a single platform on purpose, and one of them searches faces rather than live rooms, so a single ranking would not mean much. Where we could not verify something about another site from its own public pages, the cell says not checked and stays that way until we can.
Why does a site called CamsFinders.com exist at all?
Search engines and people both get the plural wrong, and brand names in this category are copied constantly. Running the plural spelling ourselves means the traffic that was looking for CamsFinder lands on a CamsFinder page rather than on somebody imitating one. The page you get is a real page with real content, not a redirect.
What does not checked mean in the table?
It means we could not find the fact on a page that site serves publicly, so we did not write it down. It is not a criticism and it is not a claim that the thing does not exist. If a page turns up, the cell changes.
Do you get paid if I click through to a cam site?
CamsFinder is funded by affiliate links to the cam platforms, so a signup that follows one of those links can pay CamsFinder. Links on this site that point at camsfinder.com pages are plain links and carry no affiliate code. The live units embedded on these pages send clicks to the cam platform.
Which cam finder covers the most platforms?
Of the four compared here, CamsFinder and CamGirlFinder are the multi platform ones. CamsFinder has fourteen platforms configured for model pages. CamGirlFinder names fifteen platforms in its face database. CamSpider and FindInCams both target Chaturbate alone, on purpose.
Is a cam finder legal to use?
Using a directory that links to legal adult broadcasts is legal for adults in most places, but adult material is restricted or banned in some countries and in some US states. CamsFinder blurs or blocks content by country and by US state for that reason, and sends blocked visitors to a notice page. Check what applies where you are.
How do I find one specific performer?
If you have the name, the CamsFinder model index searches it directly and the result links to her model page and her live room. If you only have a picture, a text search cannot help you and a reverse image tool like CamGirlFinder is the right instrument.
What is the difference between a review page and a comparison page?
A review covers one platform on its own terms: what it costs, how it works, who is on it. A comparison sets two platforms against each other on the points people actually weigh, which is usually price, model count and whether free chat is worth watching. CamsFinder publishes both, one review per platform and six head to head comparisons.
How often is this comparison updated?
It carries the date it was checked, at the top of the table. We update it when something we can verify changes, and we move the date when we do. A comparison page with no date on it is a page nobody has looked at in a year.
Still stuck? The CamsFinder FAQ covers the main site, and the contact page reaches a person. If a word here is unfamiliar, try the glossary. If you want to know why some cells say not checked, that is how we compared.
